NAVA

NAVA is all about new and vintage apparel and accessories. Unlike many online apparel stores, NAVA started out in May 2008 with a retail store located on Thayer Street in Providence, RI. It began as a dream between two roommates who transformed a rough old record store into a funky chic retail space. After demolishing several walls, putting up some new ones, painting every surface imaginable, and buying three mannequins we like to call Rudy and the Judys, NAVA opened its endearingly glass-paned door to offer stylish new and vintage clothes to every girl and guy with the sense to look good. With a penchant for cowboy boots, funky and fancy dresses, silk scarves and gold jewelry, we try to have a little bit of everything so that no one leaves NAVA empty-handed. You can visit them on-line at ShopNava, or, can visit their brick and mortar shop at 281 Thayer Street on the East Side of Providence. We are pleased to have NAVA join the Urban Vintage Bazaar for the first time.

Betty of Peacock Feathers has been buying and selling vintage clothes and accessories for over 20 years and the collection of items she brings shows her vast knowledge of vintage and on-trend fashion! She regularly participates in shows and has a brick and mortar space at the New London Antiques Center. She will bring both Men’s and Women’s vintage clothing to the Bazaar as well as a variety of other vintage goodies. This will be her second time selling at the Urban Vintage Bazaar.

The Red Velvet Shoe features timeless, upscale vintage of impeccable taste and quality. The proprietress, Michelle, takes great pride in offering only the best items and providing fantastic customer service. Her blog, Tales from a Vintage Wardrobe explores the history of fashion and how vintage relates to the modern world. She is as meticulous as she is enthusiastic and a true ambassador for fine vintage. Visit her on line at The Red Velvet Shoe. The Red Velvet Shoe is a founding member of the Urban Vintage Bazaar.

Natalie is the proprietor of Shoppe Pioneer, a women's store on South Main St on the East Side of Providence, right in the midst of the RISD campus. Her website is www.shoppepioneer.com. Announcement - Spring Fashion Event!

We are excited to partner with Fashion@Brown to kick off their annual Fashion Week this April!  We will have another roomful of vintage vendors, and, may even extend out onto the patio if weather permits!  Same location, many returning vendors and a number of new vendors as well!  The difference between this show and our annual fall event is that this show will feature fashion-related items only.  Men's and Women's clothing and accessories.  That's everything from frilly dresses to everyday jackets and skirts.  From high heels to espadrilles.  Jewelry, hats, shoes, boots, jackets and scarves.  Tie bars, cuff-links and neckties. Bow ties and plaid.  Preppy and Mod.  Something for everyone for sure!  As always, the main event is indoors with free admission. Open to the public as well as students.  Free Sunday on-street parking and one block from the RIPTA stop at the top of the tunnel at Thayer Street. Most vendors accept credit cards and all take cash.  Two bank ATM's in the building make buying a snap!   Keep watching the blog for lists of vendors, look-books, sneak peeks and more leading up to the event!  Follow us on Facebook for all the latest news...
