Getting ready for Second Urban Vintage Bazaar

I hope a lot of you vintage shoppers have already marked your date books (or entered the date into your phone, hah!) for this year's Urban Vintage Bazaar, November 10th and 11th on the Brown University Campus!  I've started working in my basement, looking through the goodies to see what I'll bring with me this year.  So far I'm sure I'm bringing two full cases of vintage jewelry.  I also have several boxes with vintage planters and pottery, kitschy bookends, vintage books, and vintage kitchenware.  I'm still trying to find some vintage toys I know I have down there -- I've found a few vintage dolls.  Haven't decided whether to bring vintage linen this year.  What do you think?  Make sure you save some money for this event -- you're sure to find some great holiday gifts!

Tomorrow! Tomorrow!

The Urban Vintage Bazaar is tomorrow!  Hit the ATM, eat a good meal, lay out your comfortable shoes and get some rest - you will want to be ready for this!  We wanted to add a post here as a reminder of the variety of items and vendors we will have.  From those specializing in vintage clothing, accessories and jewelry, to mid-century enamelware and industrial chic, to books and art to vinyl records, there will be something at the Bazaar for everyone!

We'll have fashions for men as well as women, from all time periods and at all price points!

Colorful costume jewelry for every day or formal wear will be offered from many vendors!

Designer goods more your thing?  We've got that too!  Some gently used and some never worn and still with the tags!  Both vintage and "late model" designs...

Love the obscure and hard to find stuff?  Check out this selection of 1960's hosiery all mint in the packages - and this is just from one vendor!

Oh, and a big PS!  Two of our vendors have decided to split their spaces with other sellers.  That means we will also have both funky vintage children's items from Jesse's Threads and even more vinyl from What Cheer Antiques on the floor!

Vendors are also bringing linens, holiday items (Thanksgiving and Christmas), housewares, luggage, and so much more!  Check out the previous posts on this blog, pics on our Facebook Page and pics on our Facebook event page to see all the photos shared to date.  This is still just the tip of the iceberg, however, you have to come to the Bazaar to see it all!

Fresh Stock!

You might have heard us use the term "fresh stock" when discussing Urban Vintage Bazaar and thought "What does that mean?"  What that means is that there will be plenty of merchandise "fresh" to the buying market for the FIRST time at this show!  Of course, it is all vintage, so, it was even "fresher" at some point in the past, but, for the sellers at this event who do other shows, sell on line or in brick and mortar shops, "fresh" stock for this show means items that have not yet been offered at other shows, on-line or in shops.

Every piece of 1960's and 1970's jewelry you see in the photos in this post will be "fresh" from Carmen and Ginger!  None have been offered previously at other shows or on-line. They have been gathered and set-aside to debut at Urban Vintage Bazaar for you!    And don't worry, there will be MUCH more jewelry from this seller and many other sellers at the event!  And if jewelry is not your thing keep watching!  We will be selling items for men as well as women, clothing, coats, accessories, mid-century housewares and lighting, books, art work and more!  And as we get closer to the date of the show, we will continue to whet your appetite by posting pics here!  (Oh, and PS for those of you interested in the jewels shown here...priced from $8 - $20 with 80% of the items $10 or $12.  Yup...it's gonna be THAT good!)
